AMICUS table tennis robots / AMICUS 1000Plus and 3000Plus /

The table-tennis robots serve first of all the quick attainment, practise and innervation of hand and leg movements needed to the table tennis play, but it is not negligible that these robots can be used not only for training, but for the entertainment of one person if there is no partner, offering for him pleasant and useful pastime.

The AMICUS robots are a result of an almost 20 years long designing, developing and manufacturing work made in Hungary on the basis of a patent (no. 200947) from 1986.

These robots due to there designed - quite simple - shape, and the technical possibilities, surplus knowledge guaranteed by the patent, even from there appearance on the market have produced the appreciation of the dealers and users being in leading position in the world.

The AMICUS products were highly appreciated in 2001 by receiving certificate of merit on a tender named Awarded Hungarian Products announced by INDUSTORG Limited Partnership for Industrial Organization, Commercial Development and Representation, by KERMI Testing and Quality Control Ltd., by the General Inspectorate for Consumer Protection, and by MEHIB Hungarian Export Credit Insurance Co.

The AMICUS 1000Plus and 3000Plus type robots are almost the same in their appearance, shape and even the mechanics, so the differences in their knowledge originates from the difference of their electronics which appears from the outside in the difference of the control boxes.

These robots - due to the patented ball placing device and the especially light shooting wheels - can shoot balls in programmed or random way alternately in any frequency, with any twist and intensity to any point of the table contrary to all the machines existing on the world.

The more developed type of the two robots - named AMICUS 3000Plus - is suitable to be programmed for complete (including serve) games, which can be saved in the memory of the machine.

AMICUS 3000Plus is the first table tennis robot in the world where it is applied a so called “AFC” function, which means that the robot changes automatically the frequency of the shot balls depending on the type (speed, spin) of those.

The collecting net that belongs to these robots requires only some movements to be mounted, totally surrounds the part of the table towards the player, so it can collect every returned ball and returns them back to the receiver of the machine, from where the balls will be forwarded automatically to the shooting head. 2 discs with parallel shaft represent its shooting device. A variable speed motor drives each of them.

The two-disc device (contrary to the one-disc one) is suitable to shoot balls in topspin, backspin and spinless mode, too. The shooting head can be turned by +/-45 , enabling side-spin of the balls. Due to the shooting discs being of especially light construction and the electronic control system, the robot type AMICUS 3000Plus can shoot for example balls one after the other following the set program with totally different spin, speed and arch. The disc has a very long service life; its wearing out is foreseen only after at least 500 service hours, then it can be replaced simply.

The frequency of the ball shooting can be adjusted : 20 to 100 balls can be shot per minute.
